Loot value and why you haul junk back to merchants.

Apocalypter rusted nuts are the official currency. Store Features: trading, buy/sell; sell items you looted and don’t need; buy various items from traders; merchants have randomized items they sell and buy. This is Steam App 4146760 by SawyerK Games — single-player, no player auction house, no Roblox codes. Verified September 29, 2026. Steam.
Save-and-reload reroll of merchant stock is a community technique, not store copy. Use it as a reported trick, then confirm on your build. Loot-value footage: Dk9vGBxKDF0. Wasteland travel that actually finds camps: zMVIVNoqt9g.
Apocalypter rusted nuts exist so junk has a sink. Official Features already say you sell items you looted and don’t need and buy various items from traders. That is the whole economy: convert a third cracked seat and mystery meat into the radiator, caliber, or water kit that unsticks the car. There is no player auction house and no redeem menu. Anyone DMing a “nut duplication Discord” is malware-adjacent — join only via Steam social (discord).
Randomized merchant pools are why YouTube shop tours go stale overnight. Community save-reload may reshuffle a stall; treat it as an unverified time-saver, not an API. Sep 28 News mentioned batteries after a merchant kill — killing the grocer can brick a restock. Factions still let you fight, help, or trade, so a camp is a stance check, not a guaranteed vending machine. Keep engines, ammo, food, and plates; sell clutter. Navigation to the next stall is a compass problem (world), not a map pin.

Official: currency is rusted nuts. You collect them and spend them on needed items. They are not a promo-code wallet and not a tycoon cash meter. If a Google result teaches you to paste a “working 2026 code” for nuts, you are on the wrong genre of site.
Nuts exist so the loot you will never bolt on still has a sink. A third cracked seat and a crate of mystery meat you will not cook can become the radiator you actually needed. That is the whole Apocalypter rusted nuts loop: convert clutter into the next hole in the build.

| Thing | Official? | Trade implication |
|---|---|---|
| Rusted nuts | Yes — store currency | The only spend meter this wiki names |
| Buy / sell | Yes — Features | Both directions; stock is random |
| Factions | Yes — fight, help, or trade | Not every camp is a shop |
| Global prices | No published table | Do not paste a fake economy sheet |
| Reroll save | Community | May work; not a guaranteed mechanic text |
There is no other player to scam and no middleman Discord trade. Anyone DMing you a “nut duplication” server is malware adjacent. Join the Steam-linked Discord for patch talk (discord), not for a black market.
Family Sharing and Steam Cloud are store features. They are not a second wallet. Your nuts live in the save.
Not achievement points (there are 11 Steam achievements — different page later). Not warlord trophies (those bolt to the car). Not Demo-only funny money. If the Demo taught you a different vendor joke, the Demo is outdated (one car, one boss, one save).
Official sentence: merchants have randomized items that they sell and buy. Two lists, both RNG: what they will take from you and what they will offer. That is why a “perfect shop” clip is a souvenir, not a waypoint. Your procedural world rolled a different stall.
Randomization is the replay hook alongside the procedurally generated map. You cannot bookmark a seed from someone else’s PC and expect the same 20-gauge crate. You *can* learn POI types that tend to hold people with inventory (world).
A merchant who buys engines might not sell radiators the same visit. Official copy allows that. Community price ranges are anecdotes. If you need a 594cc i2 refuel path, that is a car-parts problem first; the trader is backup, not the tutorial.
Steam News Sep 28, 2026: batteries after merchant kill was among the fixes. Reading that line as a player: killing shopkeepers had broken loot (batteries). Steam hotfixes Sep 26 and Sep 28, 2026 (save compatible; some fixes need new items / new game) also notes some fixes need new items or a new game. If your murdered camp still feels empty, the patch may not retroactively bless that corpse.

Community reports: save, reload, and the randomized stock can reroll. This wiki marks that as community, not Features text. It may still work on September 29, 2026 builds. It may get patched. It may only reshuffle some tabs. Treat it as a reported exploit-adjacent convenience, not as SawyerK’s intended “refresh button.”
If you reroll, you are opting out of the scarcity the random world is selling. That is your single-player sandbox. Do not write guides that shame people for using it — and do not write guides that promise it forever.

| Approach | Cost | Wiki label |
|---|---|---|
| Drive to another camp | Fuel, time, risk | Intended exploration |
| Sell junk, wait, return later | Unknown restock timer | Timer TBA — do not invent hours |
| Save-and-reload | Immersion / possible patch | Community reroll |
| Kill the merchant | Shop gone; hotfix history on batteries | Usually a mistake |
If you reload until a warlord kit appears, you are not learning ammo economy. If you reload because you cannot find water, fix survival (dew collectors, POI kettles) instead of treating RNG as hydration.
Cloud saves: don’t create a mess of two timestamps and then blame Steam. Save-anytime is a store bullet; use it like a adult.
Demo: outdated, less content, one save slot. Any “I reloaded the Demo grocer 40 times” story is historical. 1.0 has more world and more merchants to fail to find.
Official customization: any part on any car, storage via roof rack, crates, boxes, utilities like dew collectors and maggot farms. Selling the last dew collector because it “looked trash” is how you buy water with nuts you no longer have. Selling a duplicate cosmetic steering wheel is usually correct.
Weapons: keep the caliber you can feed (weapons). Engines: keep a runner and a spare if trunk space allows (car-parts). Food: cooked vs spoil notes live on survival — don’t liquidate the only calories for a hat.
| Item class | Default keep? | Sell when |
|---|---|---|
| Functional engine / radiator / suspension | Keep one working set | True duplicate and nuts unlock a better hole |
| Storage crates / roof rack | Keep until the car is a base | You already cannot close the trunk |
| Dew collector / maggot farm / plants | Keep early | You have extras and a stable loop |
| Cosmetic seats / levers | Sell extras | You care about a look — then keep one |
| Guns without ammo | Maybe sell | Unless you expect that caliber drop next camp |
| Mystery meat / bugs | Keep some | Spoil / maggot farm — see survival, not this table’s chemistry |
Volume matters because the car is the backpack. A huge low-value panel that you “might use for RP” is how you leave a 9mm stack on the sand. Nuts per liter is a player heuristic, not an official stat.
Trophies want you alive at the rock, not fashionable. Spend nuts on ammo, armor, fuel, water, then chrome. Warlords is the hunt page; this page is the checkout.
Official POIs include abandoned buildings, wrecks, caves, faction camps and bases. Fight, help, or trade with different factions. There is no world map — compass and landmarks (world). Roads help until they lead to nowhere.
Community named camps (Coyote Camp, friendly vs hostile layouts, lookout towers) are find-list hints, not GPS pins. Your seed will not match a YouTuber’s kilometer count. Drive, glass with binoculars if you have them (community B), and treat smoke, antennas, and clustered wrecks as merchant-shaped silhouettes.
Trading is a stance, not a building type. A camp can be loot-with-guns instead of loot-with-nuts. Official copy allows both. If you wanted a peaceful grocer and got a firing line, that is factions, not a broken quest.
zMVIVNoqt9g and Dk9vGBxKDF0 show how camps look, not where yours spawned. Do not pause-frame a desert and call it coordinates.
This page will not scrape another fan wiki’s merchant names as official NPCs. If SawyerK names a trader in News, we can promote the string.
Next: navigate to the next stall on world, then decide which engines are actually junk on car-parts.
Keep the body running on survival so you don’t spend nuts on panic food only.

No. This is not a Roblox codes game. Nuts come from loot and selling.
